just had the same thing happen to me.. Had the ras47 on layaway.

Paid it off today.. The guy went and got the gun told him I wanted took look at it. he open the box looked OK then he took it to the back . Got I home opened the box there was a white tag the said used wrapped around the trigger guard that wasn't there before.

Called here at the Reno location. Got Steve the Manager.He asked for the sku number. Gave it to him he stated it was a factory blem model. I told him i did buy a used gun or a factory blem.

He started telling what a good deal it was a AK for 700 bucks and how he has a couple of blem Ak's. He said to

take it out and shoot it in the morning you'll love it. Once again told him I didn't buy a used blem AK. He said he would take it back if I wanted but I should take it out in the morning...

I told him I would think it over.. then I started to do some research and found this complaint. Looked at my gun then a noticed it said factory second stamped on it.. Put it back in the box hauled *** back before they closed which is like 30 mins away..

Walked into the store told them this is ***. Talked to Steve told him I want my money back. They acted surprised.Saw they guy that showed me the gun flat *** told him the used tag wasn't on the trigger guard when he showed me the gun . They didn't have any others.

Didn't offer to get me another.Told them I will never by anything from them again.

Also I told them I've see this online happen to other people so don't lye to me. it as scam and I will never buy a gun from them again

Trying to return a shirt | Cabelas in Reynoldsburg, Ohio

Tried to return shirt still had tags but did not have sales receipt. Was told only credit would be smallest sales price,,,so for original 35 dollar shirt they would give me $9.98 credit. I just walked out after asking for manager and getting same result. Policy I was told. Well ok but I am done with purchasing anything from Cabelas...I have purchased hundreds of dollars in past in knives, leatherman tools & clothing. There are too many others I will choose from Field and Stream, *** Sporting, Gander Mountain. Buyer beware if you don't have receipt you won't get anything back on your purchase. Guess they don't need my business and I'm just one unhappy customer.

Cabelas Richfield WI is a huge BAIT N SWITCH store. When they run adds, especially on guns, they very rarely get those guns in or will have only one. Then tell you while supplies last, trying to sell you something else you don't want. If you go to the right manager in the store, you can get a $100 gift card for complaining. Don't waste time with the sales people or dept managers, those lackys just d what they are told. Go to customer service, demand to know how many they had and satisfaction. The customer service team is trained to just give out Gift Cards. I go in at least once a week during a add, then never have product they advertise.

Unfair practice | Cabelas in Richfield, Wisconsin

Recently in Cabela's Richfield WI, picking up a new handgun. Was told by sales person "No Returns!" Told by checkout lady "Sales Final!". All the time watching the guy next to me, returning his gun for the third time, and then giving the salesman hard time about the color of wood on the gun he was exchanging. I asked her, why does he get to return his guns, and told "He is friends with the store manager, this happens a lot." The guy behind me, chuckled and told me that he only shops at this Cabela's because the store manager is push over. He said "Don't waste your time arguing with staff, go to a manager, not only will you get what you want, but they will throw in a $50 gift card as well."

Most companies do not honor ad mistakes. If you read the disclaimers that all companies use, they specifically state that mistakes will not be honored, especially if it is a huge potential loss. Sometimes they will if it is a few dollars, but legally they are under no obligation if the disclaimers are posted.
