Cannot get parts

I have a $500 sausage stuffer purchased from Cabela that is nothing more than a 40 pound metal peice of junk. One of the main gears stripped out (fairly common problem I have found out with this product).

I called Cabellas Mar 3, 2015 to order a new gear and a couple of new stuffer funnels. Then the run around began! I was advised that I had to contact Weston Manufacturing (who made the stuffer) and get the part numbers from them. Cabelas told me that Weston would not sell directly to me, that I would then need to call Cabelas back with the part numbers and order the parts from them.

I did this and after several days (you can only communicate with Weston manufacturing via e-mail) I called Cabelas back with the part numbers. I was told the parts would be ordered and I would receive them within two weeks. No parts so I called Cabelas back and and was then informed that Weston refused to sell parts for this stuffer, even though Cabelas is still selling the sausage stuffer. Have gotten the run-a-round and nothing else from them!

Then they have called twice to see if I want to go ahead and order the funnels????? Why would I want to order more accessories for a useless $500 sausage stuffer that they refuse to sell a replacement main gear for?

Agree, have purchased a 20 lb vertical stufer for $400-$500 and can't get parts such as the plunger o ring. Great sales organization with no support might as well a chinese cheapy and throw away since that is what the cabela's products are

I also have a Cabelas hand operated stuffer made by Westin. All that I need is a piston seal, which is no longer serviced through Cabelas or Weston.

The piston seal? Come on! Of all things this is the most likely to wear out. I also have a $300 piece of junk.

Shame on Cabelas and Weston. I sure won't be buying another one from them.

I agree. they are not helpful at all.

I am in the same boat needing a piston o-ring, so far no luck. Weston does not even have the model # in their system. 07 model. I was told to find one at the hardware store by Cabela's customer service.

I guess ill have to figure out how to fix it myself. or buy a different brand name o-ring and hope it will fit.

Update on the Nikon M223 scope cabela's online price screw up. I called the Boise Cabela's and asked them to honor the online price.

The associate that I talked to went to his manager with my order number and got him to approve the price. Kuddos to the Boise...

My second email from cabelas says that the item is backordered if this is the case then why when I search there scopes that this same scope with identical item number shows available online but at the changed price! Card Stolen - Cut off after being on hold for 30 mintues

Cabellas card was stolen. I called and was on hold for 30 minutes when the call system cut me off and took me to the call survey. Now I have to call again and start from the beginning of the *** call ***. How can you not address fraud immediately Cabella's? All of the other major credit cards do this and do active fraud monitoring. Cabella's claims to monitor for fraud, but that is obviously a lie. Cabella's should be ashamed of their *** customer service line.

THE BEST WAY TO WASTE YOUR TIME IS TO SHOP AT THE GUN DEPT AT THE CABELA'S IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY. FOR THE MOST PART THE ATTENDANTS ARE LAZY, SLOW AND OVERWEIGHT. THERE IS ONE NAMED JACK WHO IS THE MOST UNFOCUSED EMPLOYEE I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE WHOLE CREW WILL LET PEOPLE CUT IN LINE. THEY WILL NOT INFORM YOU PROPERLY AS TO HOW TO FILL OUT GOVERNMENT FORMS. Lack Of Customer Service

My question required immediate attention from a CSR because it involved an expired free shipping code that was only 1 day past at the time of my inquiry. After not receiving any response via email, I called the customer service phone number and was un-lucky enough to get the CSR from ***, who refused to help me whatsoever!!! As my concern stated, I had 2 items in my cart for 2 days without knowing when the free shipping code expired and to my surprise, it expired the day before I went back to the cart to purchase it. Had many things going on at the time (before Christmas) and simply forgot to complete the purchase. Received a reminder email from Cabelas on Sunday 12/20/15 that the items were still in the cart and when I went to purchase them thats when I discovered the free shipping deal was no longer available. Tried to get someone in customer service to help me get the free shipping to no avail. So, I purchased the items from Gander Mountain and got an even better deal because they not only price match competitors, but they also give an extra 10% discount. I wont be shopping at Cabelas anymore because of this incident and their lack of response to correct the situation. Now I see why there are so many bad reviews online about Cabelas (LACK OF) customer service.

Sales paper showed a shotgun 0444**** on sale in Fort Mill and Greenville SC sale started on Feb 11-21. I live in Florence SC and started the 2 1/2 or 3 hour trip at 8:45 on the 11th called at 9:30 both stores are sold out. I was told each store only had three guns each when I called. I have always used cabelas and had good service. I am very disappointed that a sale is in the paper and there are no guns available. This is a marketing trick to get customers to come in in my case 2 1/2 or 3 hr drive. You have lost a long time customer.

I just bought mine in the same sale at Noblesville Indiana. If you check the website they will tell you if they have any.

Also, I told the guy over the phone I was coming and he told me that if I go the same day then he could put my name on it. I arrived several hours later and there was a gun waiting for me.

IMO you need to do your homework before you run over there. Also, I should mention that I agree it is a marketing tactic that seemed to have backfired with at least you.

I started dealing with Cabelas when they first started back in the 60's, couldn't find a better company back then and well into the 90's. Well they have gone to *** to say the least as of late. Just recently, I ordered several items for Christmas, including sale items, and assumed they were all in stock since they were advertised. Well after ordering I got an email confirming the order but that one item was back-ordered until February, REALLY. Why were they advertising it as a sale item for Christmas if it they were out of that item. Then I called them up and was put on hold, so put my cell phone on speaker, after 51 minutes and 36 seconds later somebody answered. I complained and they said its Christmas, what do you expect! REALLY, just hire more help. So I asked that the one item that was backordered be cancelled and the $$ put back on my gift card. She said she could do that and so all said and done. Now I am back on their site and ordered another item to replace the item I cancelled. When I went to check out, there was nothing left on the gift card when I was told the amount of the cancelled item would be put back on the gift card, NOT. Now I have been on the phone once again on hold for almost an hour to get this straightened out just to listen to this @#$%#$ up music and advertising while waiting. When I finally got the rep on the phone he said there must of have a mistake and he put the $$ back on the card. There was no offer to compensate me for the time waiting on the phone to talk to someone. Like, hey man, sorry for the $%^# up so here's an additional $20 on your card. So having been a CEO of a major company Cabelas obviously has put profit over customer service and they have outgrown themselves. I have also heard they are selling and no wonder why! Its going to take someone with a lot of intestinal fortitude the get that place straightened out. In the mean time I suggest Bass Pro Shops or Amazon. It was a *** of a good company when *** and Jim ran it,who I met in their Nebraska store a long time ago, but Millner, current CEO, needs TO GO! He's probably hunting or fishing down in Mexico right now while all *** has hit the fan back at the homefront. Thanks for listening and really, consider somewhere else to spend you money.

Been to the Fort Mill SC store gun department very bad attitudes, if you dare call you get put on hold. These people act like they wish you would leave and quit messing with them.

I,m done with the Cabelas in store experience. I will continue to shop Cabelas via internet I had been a Club card member for 15 years and satisifed.

My experience: the entire culture of cabelas is dreadful. if one wants a hat or a shirt, without salesperson involvement then this store although expensive, could be okay. i have tried to do business repeatedly at the louisville based firearms department. i have had two good experiences, and more than 40 that are awful. The cabelas salespeople have NO connection to customer service. they are arrogant and anti-helpful. instead, go to costco, amazon, local merchants that have a true heart for the customer.

I purchased this Nikon scope on 11/25, the day before thanksgiving thinking my black friday shopping budget was used and done!

Received email confirming the order on 11/25, then another email on 11/26 informing me that my ordered items may arrive separately. Which was strange since i only ordered the scope.

On Black Friday 11/27, they sent me an email canceling my order due to "Every effort is made to avoid mistakes in our catalogs as well as on our Online Store, however, should errors inadvertently appear, we reserve the right to correct them. The NIKON M223 RIFLESCOPE was inadvertently listed with the incorrect price. In light of this, your order for this item will be cancelled and/or returned to Cabela's."

So basically i stopped black friday shopping only to find out at the end of black friday that what I had set out to buy for this day was a scam. A scam to pull me to their website and hopefully get me to buy other items.

Anyway the opportunity cost to myself in this situation was huge.

Shame on you for choosing to conduct business in the manner.

Horrible Service

I ordered a gun safe on black Friday. The shipping company was unable to back up my 240 ft driveway so wanted to drop the 650lb safe off in the road and suggested a tie a strap around it and drag it up my driveway. I refused delivery and sent it back to the local holding dock. I then hired a moving company to go pick it up and bring it to my home. When they arrived the safe was damaged. The moving company charged me $200 for a dry run fee. Long story short I ended up cancelling the order because they would not reimburse me for the dry run fee. Now I have been waiting for over 2 weeks to get my refund on my cc to find out they have mailed me a check. Since when do cc charges not go directly back to the cc. Customer service has been horrible and I guess Gander Mountain has a new customer.

Here's the thing you may not know: a retailer can issue a refund THAT DAY but it can take your bank up to 30 days to process the refund (though it's typically less than 10 business days)
